- The Korean war started June 25,1950 and ended July 27, 1953.
- North Korea attacked South Korea.
- In the summer of 1950, the U.S. and other countrys gathered to contain North Korea's fast-movingarmy.
- In mid-summer 1950 an amphibous invasion at Inchon Slowed the North Korean war machine. However China and the Soviet Union interveined. The UN was thrown half way back into South Korea.
- About half way threw 1951 the front lines had stabalized close to were the war started. Then negotiations began.
- No body thought that negotiations would take another two years befor a peace treaty was declaired.
