Reason for topic

I chose to do the Korean War honestly because i didnt know what else i could do. I never really payed attention to what happened after WWII. So i had Ms. Harms help me pick one and this is what we came up with.

Interesting Facts

A few interesting facts about the korean war are:

1. North Korea invaded South Korea
2. The U.S. was a great part of the war effort to stop North Korea.
3. The united kingdom also helped aid South Korea.

The Korean War

• The Korean war started June 25,1950 and ended July 27, 1953.
• North Korea attacked South Korea.
• In the summer of 1950, the U.S. and other countrys gathered to contain North Korea's fast-movingarmy.
• In mid-summer 1950 an amphibous invasion at Inchon Slowed the North Korean war machine. However China and the Soviet Union interveined. The UN was thrown half way back into South Korea.
• About half way threw 1951 the front lines had stabalized close to were the war started. Then negotiations began.
• No body thought that negotiations would take another two years befor a peace treaty was declaired.
